Preguntas frecuentes
Frequently asked questions
Are Albor garments GOTS-certified?
+
Albor does not yet hold its own GOTS certification as a brand and trader. We therefore do not currently market the finished garments as GOTS-certified or use the GOTS logo as an Albor product badge. Our principal fabrics are supported by GOTS Transaction Certificates, and our manufacturing partner holds a valid GOTS Scope Certificate covering relevant activities.
Why does Albor not simply call itself a sustainable brand?
+
Because sustainability is broader than one fabric, certificate or collection. We prefer to explain our specific choices and evidence rather than use a general claim that may suggest the whole business has been fully assessed.
Does organic cotton mean that no chemicals were used?
+
Organic cotton farming already removes the heaviest chemical exposure in a garment's life — no synthetic pesticides, fertilizers or defoliants at the growing stage. What happens next, spinning, dyeing and finishing, is where an unregulated "organic cotton" label alone stops being a guarantee. That's why we work inside a GOTS-certified system: it monitors and restricts inputs across the whole chain, not just the field.
Where are the garments produced?
+
We work with a selected manufacturing partner operating within a valid GOTS-certified system. Its identity, location and certified scope can be reviewed in the original certification documents available on this page.
What is the difference between the Scope Certificate and Transaction Certificates?
+
The Scope Certificate verifies the certified activities and product categories of the manufacturing partner. The Transaction Certificates document specific certified fabric transactions supplied to that partner. Together, they provide different parts of the evidence behind our material and production choices.
Why does Albor not display the GOTS logo?
+
The logo is subject to specific certification, approval and labelling rules. Because Albor does not yet hold its own certification as a brand and trader, we do not use the logo to market the brand or its finished products. Brand-level certification is a real investment for a young company, and it's next on our list. Until then, the fastest way to judge us isn't a badge — it's the collection itself.
